Hpdun Garment Care Instructions
1.Socks
- Machine Washing: Turn inside out and place in a fine mesh bag. Can be washed with underwear but keep separate from rough fabrics (like denim or towels).
- Water Temperature: Max 40°C (Wool/Silk socks must be ≤30°C).
- Detergent: Neutral liquid detergent. Use wool-specific detergent for wool blends.
- Stain Removal: Pre-treat heel/toe stains with a mild soap solution. Use cold water for blood or heavy sweat stains.
- Drying & Ironing: Air dry naturally. NO high-heat tumble drying (prevents shrinkage and elastic damage). Ironing is generally not required.
- Restricted Chemicals: Bleach and strong alkalis.
- Service Life: Recommended replacement every 3–6 months. Discard if holes appear, elasticity is lost, or the fabric hardens.
2.Underwear
- Machine Washing: Use a lingerie/mesh bag. Select a delicate or hand-wash cycle. Separate light and dark colors.
- Water Temperature: Max 40°C (Cotton may tolerate higher temps; Lace/Silk must be ≤30°C).
- Detergent: Neutral or slightly acidic intimate wear detergent. Avoid strong alkaline laundry powders.
- Stain Removal: Soak blood stains in cold water with an enzyme detergent immediately. Wash sweat stains promptly to prevent yellowing.
- Drying & Ironing: Dry in the shade. NO direct sunlight (damages elastic fibers). Iron on medium-low heat if needed.
- Restricted Chemicals: Bleach (damages elasticity), strong alkalis, and heavy fabric softeners (may reduce breathability).
- Service Life: Recommended replacement every 3–6 months. Discard if the garment loses shape, becomes loose, or the fabric feels stiff/harsh.
3. Windproof Jacket
- Machine Washing: Use a gentle cycle. Zip all closures and fasten Velcro. Place inside a laundry bag to prevent abrasion against other items.
- Water Temperature: Max 40°C (30°C recommended).
- Detergent: Use a neutral technical detergent. DO NOT use fabric softeners, bleach, or stain removers containing solvents.
- Stain Removal: Spot clean with a damp cloth or pre-treat with a specialized technical cleaner. For stubborn stains, seek professional cleaning.
- Drying & Ironing: Hang dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. NO direct sunlight or high-heat tumble drying. Iron on low heat only if necessary; do not iron directly over waterproof membranes.
- Restricted Chemicals: Bleach, fabric softeners, organic solvents, strong acids, and strong alkalis.
- Service Life: Approximately 2–3 years under normal conditions. Replace immediately if the water-repellent (DWR) coating fails permanently or if the fabric is torn/delaminated.
4.Anti-Static Clothing (ESD Garments)
- Machine Washing: Wash separately or with similar ESD garments only. Ensure the washing machine is properly grounded. Use a gentle cycle (max 600 rpm spin). DO NOT dry clean unless explicitly permitted by the manufacturer.
- Water Temperature: Max 40°C (<30°C recommended to preserve conductive fibers).
- Detergent: Neutral non-ionic detergent (pH 6.5–7.5). DO NOT use chlorine bleach or fabric softeners.
- Stain Removal: Pre-rinse with fresh water. Gently clean oily spots with neutral detergent; avoid vigorous scrubbing on conductive thread areas.
- Drying & Ironing: Air dry in the shade. NO high-heat tumble drying (prevents hardening of fibers). Iron on low heat, avoiding direct contact with conductive threads.
- Restricted Chemicals: Fabric softeners (clog pores), bleach, strong oxidizers, and organic solvents.
- Service Life: Performance depends on usage and wash cycles. Test electrostatic properties after 50–100 washes. Discard immediately if test results fail to meet safety standards.
5. Flame-Retardant Clothing (FR Gear)
Machine Washing: Follow label instructions strictly. Wash separately to prevent lint buildup from other fabrics. DO NOT dry clean unless labeled otherwise. DO NOT use traditional bar soap.
Water Temperature: Max 60°C (Check specific fabric limits; excessive heat can degrade FR treatment).
Detergent: Neutral liquid detergent. STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Soap (fatty salts deposit and reduce flame resistance), fabric softeners, bleach, and starch.
Stain Removal: Clean oil/grease stains immediately with neutral detergent. DO NOT use organic solvents.
Drying & Ironing: Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Iron on medium heat; avoid high-heat pressing which can glaze the fabric.
Restricted Chemicals: Soap/Fatty acids, fabric softeners, bleach, organic solvents, and starch-based sizing agents.
Service Life: Inspect regularly. Discard immediately if the fabric is torn, excessively worn, contaminated with flammable substances, or if FR performance testing fails.
6. Acid & Alkali Resistant Clothing
- Machine Washing: Severe chemical contamination requires professional assessment before washing. For light contamination, pre-rinse thoroughly with copious amounts of water to remove residues, then wash on a gentle cycle.
- Water Temperature: Max 40°C (Warm water aids residue removal, subject to material tolerance).
- Detergent: Neutral detergent. Specific chemical stains may require professional neutralization pre-treatment (consult safety data sheets).
- Stain Removal: Rinse immediately with running water upon exposure. Do not scrub aggressively. Seek professional care for stubborn chemical residues.
- Drying & Ironing: Air dry in a cool, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Ironing is generally not recommended; if necessary, use low heat.
- Restricted Chemicals: Strong oxidizers, organic solvents (may dissolve coatings), and chemicals incompatible with the garment's specific protection rating.
- Service Life: Inspect before every use for signs of penetration, swelling, or brittleness. Discard immediately after exposure to high-concentration chemicals or if any micro-leaks are detected.
7. Quick-Dry / Moisture-Wicking Apparel
- Machine Washing: Use a gentle cycle. Avoid washing with Velcro, zippers, or rough items that could cause snagging. DO NOT use fabric softeners.
- Water Temperature: Max 30°C (Cold water is best; high heat damages moisture-wicking capabilities).
- Detergent: Neutral liquid detergent. STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Fabric softeners (they clog fiber pores and destroy wicking function).
- Stain Removal: Wash sweat and oil stains immediately. Pre-treat with a small amount of neutral detergent. DO NOT use bleach.
- Drying & Ironing: Hang dry (garments dry quickly naturally). NO high-heat tumble drying. Ironing is usually unnecessary; if needed, use very low heat.
- Restricted Chemicals: Fabric softeners, bleach, and laundry scent beads (residues impair performance).
- Service Life: Approximately 2–3 years. Replace if the fabric pills heavily, loses elasticity, or no longer dries quickly.
General Important Notes
- Care Labels: Always read and follow the specific care label attached to the garment (referencing ISO 3758 symbols) before the first wash.
- PPE Compliance: For Personal Protective Equipment (Anti-static, FR, Chemical Resistant), protective properties may degrade over time. Regular compliance testing according to local regulations (e.g., EN, ANSI, GB) is mandatory.
- Professional Care: If garments are heavily soiled with hazardous substances or damaged, consult a professional industrial laundry service or contact the manufacturer before attempting to clean or reuse.
